PDF to Excel
Pull a table out of a PDF and get it back as a spreadsheet you can sort, filter and total.
This tool runs entirely inside your browser. Your file is never uploaded to any server and we keep no copy of it.

The table we found
Check it before downloading — the first row becomes the column headings.
How to use it
- Drop in a PDF that contains a table.
- Every page is read. Tables are found from the lines drawn around their cells - or, when a table has no lines, from the gaps between its columns - and the text around them is left out.
- Each table gets its own sheet, and a table that runs over several pages is joined back into one, without its repeated heading row.
- Look over the preview, then download it as .xlsx, which opens straight into Excel.
- Amounts, percentages and dates become real numbers you can total and sort: "1,208,025.00" and "15.9%" keep the look they had. Identity and phone numbers are kept as text, so Excel does not eat a leading zero or turn a long one into scientific notation.
- An Arabic table opens as a right-to-left sheet, with its first column on the right.
What it does and does not do
- It works on PDFs that hold real text - anything produced by Word, Excel or a computer system.
- A scanned page is a picture, not text; put it through the image to text tool first.
- Cells merged across columns are kept in place; cells merged down several rows may need tidying afterwards.
All of this happens inside your browser. The file is never uploaded and we keep no copy of it - which matters when the table is a payroll or a staff list.
