We at Sifr Digital (referred to below as "the company" or "we") are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits and uses our site sifr-qr.com. This policy explains how your data is collected, used and protected.

  • Account data: full name, email address, and password (hashed with bcrypt) when you create an account.
  • Request data: the details of the service requests you send through the site's forms.

  • Usage statistics: that a page was visited or a tool was used or downloaded from, which tool, the page language, and whether it was a phone or a computer - recorded against your account if you are signed in, and otherwise against a random identifier your browser creates and keeps. We never record the files you use in a tool, their names, or anything you type into one. These statistics are seen only by the site's administrator and are deleted after 180 days.
  • Documents you send us: files attached to a proofreading or translation request, stored so our team can carry out the work.

2. How we use your data

  • To create and manage your account and let you sign in.
  • To receive your service requests and follow up on them.
  • To contact you about a request you have sent.
  • To improve the performance and security of the site.

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

3. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, all of them functional:

  • Session cookie: keeps you signed in while you use the site.
  • Language cookie: remembers the language you chose so pages load in it.

We use no tracking or advertising cookies. The identifier used for usage statistics is kept in your browser's own storage, not in a cookie; it is random, contains nothing about you, is never shared, and you can remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser.

4. Sharing data

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except where the law requires it or where a service provider is needed to run the site (hosting, for example), and then only to the extent necessary.

5. Data security

  • Passwords are stored hashed with bcrypt and are never stored as plain text.
  • The connection to the site is encrypted with an SSL certificate.
  • Documents you upload are stored outside the publicly reachable area and can only be retrieved by an authorised administrator.
  • Forms are protected against cross-site request forgery.

The digital tools on the site run entirely inside your browser: files you process with them are never uploaded to our servers.

6. Your rights

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete your account and its data.
  • Withdraw your consent to our processing your data.
