How to use it
- Drop an image in and the AI finds the person or object and removes everything around it — even mountains, a street or a room.
- If the edges or hair are not clean enough, choose High accuracy. Its model (42 MB) downloads once and stays in your browser.
- Move Removal strength left to keep more of the edges, right for a tighter cut.
- For an official photo on a plain wall, try Background colour: click the background to point out its colour — more than one spot if it is two-toned — and adjust Colour sensitivity.
- Use Erase for what is left over, Restore for anything removed by mistake, and Crop to keep only the part you want.
- Pick a new background colour — white for an official photo, blue, or anything you choose — or leave it transparent.
All of this happens inside your browser, and the AI itself runs on your device. The image is never uploaded and we keep no copy of it — which matters when the image is a document. Both models come from the open-source rembg project.
